Kyle B. Parker focuses his practice primarily on estate planning, probate law, elder law, real estate, and business transactions. Kyle represents clients in the drafting of wills, trusts, and other complex estate planning documents, along with helping clients navigate the complex area of long-term care and nursing home planning. Kyle is also an experienced probate and estate lawyer representing clients in will contests, guardian and conservator proceedings, estate administration, and other probate and estate related litigation. In addition, Kyle devotes a significant portion of his practice to real estate, business transactions, loan closings, business formations, and he handles foreclosure and partition cases, including the difficult and complex cases relating to “heir property”.
After law school, Kyle was selected for a coveted judicial law clerk position by the Honorable J. Carlisle Overstreet and the Honorable Carl C. Brown, Jr. in Augusta, Georgia. Following his judicial clerkship, Kyle served as an Assistant Solicitor for the First Judicial Circuit of South Carolina in Orangeburg. There, Kyle prosecuted numerous felony cases and gained valuable trial experience.
Kyle has had the honor of serving as President of the Newberry County Bar Association, where he was elected by his peers to serve for three consecutive terms. Kyle has also served as a member the Elder Law Committee of the South Carolina Bar and he is the only member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys practicing in Newberry, Laurens, Saluda, Fairfield, and Union Counties. As counsel for the Newberry County School District, Kyle is also a member of the National School Boards Association’s Council of School Attorneys.
In the nearly 10 years since joining the firm, Kyle has enjoyed giving his clients the benefit of his knowledge and experience while guiding them through the estate planning and probate process. One of Kyle’s most important qualities, like all of the attorneys at Pope Parker Jenkins, PA: he means what he says and follows through on his commitment to his clients.
Kyle is an active member of the Rotary Club of Newberry. He is originally from Union, South Carolina, and is married to Melissa Whelchel Parker. Together, they have a son, Noah, and a daughter, Kambri.
